The Backpack Program

The Diversity Kiwanis Club sponsors one student for a full year of the Lend a Hand Backpack Program. This provides a bundle of food for the student every weekend during the school year.

See below, pictures of the Diversity Kiwanis Club and other Kiwanis clubs in Sioux Falls as they continue to volunteer at the SD Food Bank by packing over 2400 bags of food for students in the Sioux Falls School District. Each Friday during the school year (or last day of the school week), students in need receive a backpack of food to sustain them through the weekend. The program is funded by the generous donations of local businesses and community members.
