DKC Volunteers at the Food To You: Mobile Food Bank

The Food to You Mobile Food Bank sponsored by Charis Ministry Partners began serving hungry people in the Sioux Falls area in March, 2009. In this brief time weekly distributions of groceries and household products funded and staffed by volunteers have taken place at four different sites.
Food to You distributions take place on the first four Thursdays of every month from 6:00-7:00pm. There is no income requirement; all that people need to take receive help is identification.

Households can use the service only once a month.

On November 12, 2009, 16 members of the Diversity Kiwanis Club volunteered at the Food To You Mobile Food Bank, distributing fresh produce, baked and canned goods to 101 families.

In April of 2009 the Diversity Kiwanis Club volunteered their services to assist 65 different families.
